How Pitch Latvia works
What this is
One pitch for Latvia, chosen by the people who pitch it.
The strongest lines become the shared pitch. We publish it right here, free for anyone to use.
TechChill spends a lot of time bringing Latvian founders and the international tech community together. We believe Latvia needs a simple story we can all tell, so we’re asking the community to help build it.
How it works
Write your pitch in your own words. It should take about 30 seconds to say out loud. Confirm it by email. Compare pitches from others, two at a time, and pick the one you would rather use. Names show only after you pick. Every pick moves the ranking.
How ranking works
Duels open at 12 pitches. You can judge up to 10 duels a day. As more people pick, the shared pitch becomes clearer. A new version replaces your old pitch and starts fresh.
No bots, scripts, multiple accounts or vote trading. We may discount votes or remove pitches that break these rules. Rankings are for fun and come with no prize unless we announce one separately.
What send means
We’ll email you one link. Your pitch is published only after you click it. Your name is shown with your pitch; your email never is.
No account. No newsletter. No sales calls. We only email links to verify your pitch or sign you back in.
Your pitch text, name, and company and job title if given appear next to ranked pitches. Your email is never shown.
Moderation
Automated checks and people may reject, hide or remove any pitch or vote, without having to explain each decision.
Write about Latvia, without insults, hate, spam or ads. The automated check receives only your pitch text. Pitches rejected by moderation are not stored.
Inviting friends
We email each friend once from Pitch Latvia, with your name and your link. Their replies go to you. Up to 3 a day.
Only invite people who would welcome it. Each person can receive an invitation at most once every 30 days. Every email includes an opt-out link. We keep only a hashed copy of the address to prevent repeat emails.
Your data
We collect your pitch text and versions, name, email, optional company and job title, votes and duels. For security, we use hashed IP addresses and hashed emails for rate limiting, and an automated bot check. Pitches rejected by moderation are not stored. We also collect friends’ email addresses you invite: we send one message and keep only a hashed copy to prevent repeat emails. We also collect the measurement data described below.
